I had my upgrade to 50Mb :)

I got the D-Link wireless router and a D-Link DWA-140 Wireless N usb adapter.
All went well and I am a happy bunny :D

I saw that the guy used TCPOptimizer on XP but said I won't have to use it
on my Windows Vista\7 OS?

This is from XP

The latancy has gone way up and the upload speed is not that good I can't get it any better.

Anyone here run Win7 with a 50Mb connection?

http://www.virginmedia.com/help/20mb-broadband-optimisation.php

Windows Vista users:

We've tested the optimisation tool in Windows Vista and haven't seen any significant impact on the broadband speeds. We're thinking this is down to improved optimistation for higher broadband speeds being built into Vista. That said, if you're using Vista then we don't advise you use the optimisation tool.

Those test were run hours between each other, so that might be why the results vary.

Well I am happy with it so far(touch wood) and at least I know its
microsoft that has the latency problem and not VM.

Also I have just ping VM and i get between 12ms-16ms in command prompt
So it maybe the browser in Win 7?

10\10 VM..now where is the 200Mb :)
