View Full Version : whats the upload/download speed for an stm'ed 10meg (m) connection?

hi,
question is the title :)
i usually get 9.x megs as un upload and 480kbbs ish for upload on any speedtest.
today i am on 2.4megs and 128kbps upload.
is this the correct values for an stm in place on a 10meg m connection?

damn it looks i got zapped :)
thats the first time i have noticed getting stmed since the 2-10 upgrade.
would it kill them to put an stm indicator and timer on your customer care page tho?

You do wonder don't you?
It wouldn't kill them but would require a fair bit of querying of the equipment they use which it may not like too much, would push CPU utilisation up a bit.
I think as you've noticed that the figures say it all. If on the 10Mb(20Mb) you hit 2.5Mb(5Mb) down and 128Kb(192Kb) up then 99% sure you've been STM'd so not much need for an indicator on the homepage.
