My newly upgraded VM 10Mbps (in fact only 5.25Mbps) will not play bbc iplayer HD programmes. The video stops on the first frame and sound continues.

Is this usual?

Are you using USB or Ethernet with your speed being so low.

100Mb Ethernet.

Interesting that you are a VM employee and comment on my speed being low I spent a long time on the phone to VM (Indian division) this morning and the bloke tried to fob me off with installing tcp optimizer. (actually I did try it out of curiosity and it made no difference).

I thought it was only ADSL where you didn't get what you paid for.
