10mb upgrade

i have received my virgin 10mb upgrade but have the old ntlworld 120 modem can this cope with higher speeds or do i need a new modem, im not reaching speeds above 3mb with thanks.

Are you using USB or Ethernet as you will not get the speed with USB.

If using ethernet you may need to call in to have them run some tests on your connection.

yes im using ethernet. would you say i should be receiving a better speed or is 3mb the norm when i can get up to 10.

If you are using ethernet and only getting 3Mb then you need to call the number above now so they can run some checks on your connection.
