I keep trying to watch iplayer HD programs and they keep buffering say I need at least 3.5 mb to stream HD. Ive done speed tests on 3 different checkers and they all say I'm around 10 mb this includes the iplayer speed checker aswell. I've not beeen STM as I have not downloaded anything. I have a new PC core 2 quad 2.33 ghz so I've got the prossessing power. Any ideas would be greatly welcome. Thank you

perhaps it's slow on their end?

i've had that message before on particularly popular programmes.

test normal SD and see if you have any issues then

Thanks for your replies. On normal SD I have no issues at all.

Just because your internet connection is running smoothly, doesn't mean the path between the BBC and you is, maybe you could try pinging bbc.co.uk and see what sort of results you get

You either have a bad routing from Virgin to ITV and there isn't enough bandwidth(which a Virgin issue) or ITV serves can't handle the demand
