Now, for the last week on torrents I have not been able to go over 10kb/s on any torrent, no matter which I try.

Now I'm not a heavy downloader at all and don't touch downloading during the hours that they are managed so why this is happening is beyond me.

This happens 24/7, so it has left me puzzled.

Anyone else had the same problem?

What Tracker? How many seeds, how many peers, how many have you connected to...

If you're experiencing slow torrent upload and download speeds and you're using a router you need to make sure that you have properly forwarded your ports.

If you're using Utorrent go to the speed guide and click the button to check if your ports are forwarded. If it comes back and says your ports are not forwarded go to the website it directs you to: www.portforward.com

Ive had the same problem, last week speeds were up to about 250, now theyre at 50 ish max. I tried to understand the port forwarding guide on utorrent, but came away completely confused. Are there any programs which will configure your router for you?

In µTorrent you can choose a port, choose something above 60000, then go to your router and port forward that port to the IP of the computer you are using. You may need to set a fixed IP on your PC so that the port forwarding works each and every time.

Most routers sort it out themselves to be honest.

This Link will show you how to portforward routers with video http://video.google.co.uk/videosearch?hl=en&q=how+to+port+forward&um=1&ie=UTF-8&ei=wDJoSq7TJYTSjAeX0JiRCw&sa=X&oi=video_result_group&ct=title&resnum=4#

hope this helps

It's not a port issue has it has been fine for the last few months.

As for how many seeds it's connecting to, it doesn't seem to get any higher than 10 on a torrent with over 6000, this is the same for most.

Also, does anyone know why Utorrent always make my router disconnect?

Find this very strange

It can't handle the amount of connections uTorrent opens. Every connection uses up some of the router's memory and when this fills up game over.
