Hi all, I'm looking to get the new Toshiba TG01 phone which is out soon. Orange are (so far) the only carrier. Anyone have any ideas on if I should steer clear of them or are they ok these days?
........a few threads here say that their coverage isn't very good (especially for 3G)

Never ever had a problem with thier network coverage here or abroad... BUT thier customer services is extremely dire, even when compared to others..

Yeah, they once told me that the reason I couldn't get a signal (upstairs in SE London) was that the signal travels at ground level and I was therefore above it....
.....I left orange after that :dozey:

I have a orange SE W910i, I get a poor signal Upstairs & Downstairs in my house.

Plus I hate there crappy orange icons, I want proper coloured icons.

FYI I'm on PAYG

I get a perfect signal at home. work and most parts of town, except one of my mates house across town.
I haven't had the need to phone customer service except to renew, to which they have been very good.

I woked for Orange for 5 years, but that was 5 years ago. I have tried the rest but always have gone back to Orange. For network coverage, applications and reliabilty. Everyone has good experiences and bad with any network you goto. PAYG always plays 2nd fiddle to contract. If its the phone you want and its only Orange then I would say go for it. (btw i have also worked for O2 so its not just misplaced loyality).

I have to be honest, i have been with orange now since 2002 here in Swansea and have very few problems, i was before them with Vodafone and they really annoyed me and with tech support twice and thats why i switched.
