Where abouts in the UK?

Expedia, opodo, kayak, cheapflights, are some of the best.

We have found when booking flights to Spain that skyscanner.net is the better online "compare" site and that Ryanair are normally the cheapest.

Just look at the website for the destination airports that you're interested in, make a note of the airlines that fly there and then check the airlines' websites.

I've always found Easy-Jet reliable, thats mainly been on the Gatwick to Nice route.
One tip for an extra £7.50 you can buy "Speedy boarding" which lets you on the plane first and gives you first choice of the seats, well worth doing.:)

Yeah I've found easyjet prices to be good too.
The earlier you book the better although you can sometimes get good last minute deals.

This is the official Easy-Jet speedy boarding site I found, it doesn't state the price but in March this year it was still £7.50

Speedyboarding tends to depend on where you are flying but will most likely not be more than £8 - £10
eg. A flight to Malaga has speedy boarding going out at £8 at Gatwick and £6 returning at Malaga.
