18 MONTH contract due to end , just wondering do I give a months notice after the 18th month or am I within my rights to serve notice on the 17th month thereby serving the 18 and not 19 ??:dunce:

Who was it who got in trouble some years ago for not allowing people to give notice until the contract ended, effectively extending it by another month? Either NTL or one of the mobile phone companies, I can't remember ....

Actually you can give notice of cancellation on a contract at any time and they (anyone) cannot refuse to accept it, however you are liable to pay any remaining outstanding charges as per your agreement.
