Yes. Near work, a securicor guard was collecting money from one of the local banks and he triggered the van alarm by mistake. Poor sod, he was sitting in the cabin (which I think had locked when the alarm went off), looking rather embarrased while his vehicle announced loudly "Securicor vehicle in distress. Please dial 999".

I know for sure at least one part of greater Glasgow has no buses running after 7PM because the buses were getting attacked all the time.

I don't know... It would attract attention, and if you could see that the bus was obviously being attacked, you may be less inclined to laugh.

I was on a bus once and the driver accidently triggered it in the bus station, everyone jumped out of their skin lol

Even if you were the one attacking the bus? It would be one way (probably not the most effective) to stop the attack.
