Freezing when downloading

Hi, when downloading files it keeps on freezing, it downloads for about 2 seconds, then freezes for about 5, then downloads for 2 seconds and so on... Anyway to fix this?

Ok i exited idm and same problem.

Try downloading a file from gamefiles.blueyonder.co.uk and try and use IE to download the file

what do you think my statement meant?

I quoted the fact he is using internet download manager and the very next thing I say is "first thing to do is rule that out then " what do you think that means???? ;)

I read it as he is already using a download manager so that isn't the problem as in rule it out as a proble. Sorry got confused.....:confused:

I had a very simalar problem while downloading using FF+ dTA, Getright and others and it turned out to be because of the Comodo Internet Security that i installed. Disabling it didnt cure the problem but as a test i uninstalled it (exporting configs as a backup) and retested it after a reboot and it worked fine. Not sure if this is your problem or not, but maybe worth a test, was for me as download freezing was very annoying
