Generally, even though I live close to Moses Gate Country Park, the only squirrels I see are on the road, very flat and wearing their insides on the outside...:( The one exception being the one I found that was still alive - presumably it was only sideswiped - and which I took to a vet, and released in the park the next day, apparently none the worse for wear and hopefully with a little more road sense. :erm:

If you go to the park by the river in the City of Chester the grey squirrels will come up to you and eat out of your hand they are so trusting.

Where I used to live in leafy Surrey the grey ones were shot on sight as they used to play havoc with nesting birds and wildlife in general. We used to call them tree rats.
The .410 cartridge used to for them.
