Just got upgraded to 50mb today, Im getting great speeds but the trouble is, whenever I do, I get a blue screen of death! Is this common at all? Does anybody know of anything I can try to stop this happening?

Sounds like your PC is not up to spec as you are only connected wirelessly or by ethernet and Tech Support would advise you to return to vendor.

What has changed on your PC since the install?

For instance new wireless device installed? sounds like a driver issue to me.

How are you connecting to your modem? ethernet or wireless?

If wireless he could be using the Netgear USB dongle and that could fit with what you say.

Simply going on a faster connection cannot crash your operating system, excluding a fluke earthing problem.

As others have hinted, it's most likely a driver conflict with the USB dongle - assuming you used the one provided.
