Getting a new modem could solve speed problems!

hi, i live in oxford, and my speeds, packet loss ,ping have been terrible from 8 pm -1 am. I got an engineer out , he checked the power, and the box outside and left saying there was nothing he could do. After he left, i remembered that VM had sent me a new modem in the post.I decided to ring up and activate it.My connection now runs perfectly, i noticed my IP changed and my ubr is different after activation.Its only been 24 hours so i hope it lasts!

This worked for me as well. I had random disconnects and poor speeds for months and was convinced the latter was due to STM even though I was never going anywhere near my limit.

New modem self installed and registered and now everything is perfect and speeds are excellent.
