He's not out looking for trouble.

I disagree - in a lot of those clips he seems to be going after people.

He shows clearly that he suffers from road rage in this one.

If he behaves like this all the time when he's out. someone's going to get out the car and ram that camera of his up his own bum :)

Mind you I drive around Cardiff a lot, there's enough stupid driving (and equally dangerous bike riding) to make want to stab your own eyeballs out.

For someone like him. he's obviously got mirrors.

he doesn't have a suggestion for what this person should be charged with, but he gives you the reg number anyway.
the guy makes something that isn't really a problem into a vendetta problem.

it wasmuch more frightening riding on the dual carriage way into there

I've been commuting by pedal power for over a decade now and have seen many idiots on bikes but obviously a lot more idiots behind the wheel of a vehicle.

IMHO the key to communting by bike (and staying alive) is to cycle defensively, not the aggressive behaviour that this person is displaying at times.

The vast majority of vehicle drivers don't understand the dangers to cyclists so they often aren't aware of how dangerous they are driving. Education and increased awareness is the way forward. There was a campaign on a few years ago to educate professional drivers about cyclists on the road. I would say from personal experience that it was successfull, as white van man, lorry drivers etc are among the most courteous to me on the road.

It used to be the same with bus drivers but there seems to be a new breed of bus driver, mainly immigrant so probably not here when the campaign was active, who think that a cyclist requires as much room on the road as the width of a cycle tyre.

This is my patch and I'm ashamed to say that the driving standards are this bad... and often worse. Many drivers don't seem to care about cyclists at all... and I've even seen the boys in blue on bikes being cut up!

Then again, many cyclists fail to heed the rules of the road... I've been confronted by cyclists riding towards me on the wrong side of the road. Even on dual carriageways!

I regularly cycle 6 miles to university campus, and the 2 or 3 miles or so actually on the road, especially at rush hour, makes me wanna smash a few windows in the driving's so bad. There's a few crossroads on the route where I live and the amount of drivers going through red lights and blocking access when trying to turn right when the light's gone red (you must know the kind of junctions I'm talking about, the ones with no provision for right-turn access) borders on insanity. Thankfully, the last 3 miles is on dedicated cycle routes, so no cars to contend with, only glass and hills.

...and joggers with ipods, dog owners with 20 foot leads blocking the full width of the cycle path, horse and dog ****, occasional punctures, broken chains etc... oh the joys ;)

The bloke on the bike is an idiot and what is the legal standing of him posting video footage and reg numbers online?

Legal to film the cars as they're in a public place, but I don't think posting all the Reg numbers is legal.

and he suggests what offence they have commited. I think the main thing is the publishing of the reg numbers. he is making a point of publishing them so he has a motive for doing so.

it just needs one of them people to be injured/assaulted by another cyclist as a result of the publishing of the reg number, and we have found his motive :D

As I understand it you're allowed to do so for the purposes of evidence/identification gathering if a law has been broken.

But we don't know if any laws have been broken in a lot of them. he is telling us what law they have broken. they might be innocent for all we know.

Hopefully this idiot will find himself in the dock for defamation, libel, slander or whatever is appropriate. For his own safety more than anything before he ends up wearing concrete shoes for being in the wrong place at the wrong time.
