As it's coming to an end I'm wondering how will we look back on the decade 2000 to 2010 and what we will call it..After all in the past we referred to the 20s,30s,40s and so on..easy peasy...But what can you use to quickly refer to the first two decades of the 21st century? :erm:

The teens?

the noughties?

the best forgotten years?

and what will people call the future years? for example, so far this century, the most common referal the the years has begun with "two thousand and...", but come 2010 will it become more commonplace to say "twenty-ten", or will it remain as "two thousand and ten"?

place your bets please...

Best Forgotten Years - I like that. Is it an age thing? I see nothing to look back on as far as the 2000 go, they gave us sod all. Film, music, fashion everything seems to be a rehash, have we come to the end?

Tech always moves on. I know what you mean, I always think a decade shines from it's Music/Film and all that. Just don't see what the 2000 offered. There have been some great films and some great albums, but nothing that was a Beatles/Punk or Disco/New Wave or Grunge/Acid - 2001/Star Wars?Taxi Driver/Godfather (and on and on and on) just feels like we have run out of ideas.

Or am I just getting old? What is the opinion of the 2000's from someone that is still in their teens or early 20's? Might be a different ideal.
