Due to a reorganisation of the airwaves ahead of switchover in the Meridian TV region (2012) two things will happen on 25 March 2009:
Analogue TV viewers in the Southampton, Gosport and Portsmouth areas and parts of the Isle of Wight will need digital TV (http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/cost__and__options) in order to watch Channel Five.
DTT viewers receiving their TV signal from the Rowridge (http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/when_do_i_switch/meridian/rowridge) transmitter (viewers in Hampshire, east Dorset, west Sussex and on the Isle of Wight) will need to re-tune (http://www.digitaluk.co.uk/how_do_i_switch/connections__and__retuning/retuning_instructions) their digital equipment
