Hi all just a quick post Im on 10mb connection I get 1.2mbs down but only 50kbs up is this right or should i have 100kbs upload ?

The upstream on residential 10Mb is 500Kb (just over 60KB)

I take it you mean 56KB for upstream and 1.2MB for downstream..

Those figures taking into account overheads is about right

Why dont Virgin give extra bandwith to take into account the over heads as they do on 50mb?

Because that would be an inefficient use of the space that they can then charge you for. Do you not understand Virgin's business model? Oversell, then screw the customers when the service is gobs**te.
