connecting 360 to set top box

OK, possibly totally naiive here, but is it possible to connect to xbox live through a v set top box? Looks like there is a socket for an ethernet cable on it just wondering if this is live.

Only if you have broadband set up on it and you would have had to have done this a long time ago since they don't do it any more. So unless you have been paying for a service you haven't been using for several years the answer is no to it being live. The answer to your first question ie is it possible the answer is yes, but most likely not in your case.

thanks joxer, I`ll give it a try but as I have a seperate modem for my broadband I guess it wont work.

NP. No it won't work, it's probably not worth trying to be honest. Even if id did work most set top boxes will only do 512kb/s though some are a bit faster and if it's an ex NTL area you need to do some kind of registration process.
