I've seen a lot of 'complaint' threads saying their speeds are nowhere near what they pay for - especially for 20mb subscribers.
I have had 20mb service for about a year now and the speeds have been great. Directly from the modem i get 19,500kb (which i heard was the maximum?) and 730kb upload. And when using a wireless N router still manage 17,000kb-18,000kb and same upload.
As for downloads, using download accelerator plus the downloads are always 1900kb/s or plus, sometimes even hitting 2300kb/s. I live ~50 from my exchange which probably makes a huge difference. Oh and my ping is always under 20, normally 15.
So whats your average speed directly from a modem, and using a router?

On another note, does anybody know how this could of happened?
If you saw my other thread, you know i had 3 junction boxes in my house. Well the other day i hooked my modem up to the one we havent used for a while, and i ran a speed test. The web page was pretty laggy and not responding well and came up with this...

I think my connection got flooded or something, it just shot up. I retried and got 32,000kb/s and after that it went back to normal 19,000kb/s. The ping is higher than normal, and upload is same though - it was probably a speedtest.net mistake?
