Using existing BT cable for Virgin BB connection?

Hi.
Was a sky user and want to know if I can use my existing BT phone cable to connect to the Virgin router as it already runs under the carpet to the BT wall socket?
I will have the T.V. in the front room as I don't think the installer will throw the cable over my roof (3 story house) and the P.C. in the back room so I'm trying to prevent exterior cables all over the place.
Photos or examples would be nice but nothing out there on the web.
I'm pretty new to all this so any help is appreciated!

Virgin Cable broadband runs on the same type of cable as Sky TV does, not phone cable

Unless of course you're talking about Virgin.net ADSL
