View Full Version : Newcastle Area - Service down?

Morning all,

My connection disconnected around about midnight on Sunday night and hasn't been working since. (The bill has been paid!!)

Is anyone else having an issue in the Newcastle area? I looked on VM support site and there is a ticket for the North East open however it was last updated on the 19th...

Unfortunately I'm not at home at the moment, I'm at work, however looking at the modem status, it is saying that it is trying to Sync but it isn't receiving any DHCP reply? Tried power cycling the modem and my PC several times, at one stage I left both off for up to 2 hours.

Any ideas?

Thanks,

Jamie

Unfortunately I don't know, I'm at work at the moment and even if I was at home, my connection doesn't connect at all.

Or, being this close to Christmas, VM probably won't bother fixing it til' the new year :P

A bit crappy, as I normally keep in contact with my family via the Internet and I'm unable to travel down this year :S

What is TSC if you don't mind me asking?

Technical Support Centre.. i.e. Ring them up and report a fault.. Before you get through to an agent you will be given an audio message advising of any area faults.

Must just be my line then :S

I'll give them a ring asap. Not sure they will talk to me though as it's in my flatmates name and he's gone off to spain with his parents for Christmas!

Well just pretend to be your flatmate, I'm sure he wouldn't mind. I pretend to be my dad all the time.
