Awesome news! We want scan pictures as and when they become available, just-after-the-birth pics too and if you persuade her indoors to give junior 'CableForum' as a middle name then you get a lifetime membership to the admin team :D

Got some sad news, the missus lost the baby yesterday afternoon at home, she'd been suffering from stomach pains all morning, she called me to come home at around 2pm, when I got home there was blood all over the place, she was bent double on the bed with the pains then all of a sudden she said I think it's coming out, she was right it dropped onto the bed. I phoned the hospital up who told us to get down as quick as we could and bring the baby and placenta that had come out.

She was 14 weeks gone according to the hospital the baby was formed albeit very small I couldn't tell what sex it was when I picked it up. They have kept her in overnight because she was bleeding very heavy, she's booked in for a scan this morning to make sure everything has come away if not she's booked to go to theatre to have the remains taken away.

It's sad news but I guess it natures way of telling her that her body wasn't ready.

That's really sad Nidge. I don't really know what to say, apart from look after yourself and keep an eye on your missus. Take care.

Oh, I hate these things (canulas), maybe they just do that as a matter of course Nidge. However if she has to go to theatre, better to be checked to make sure nothing left behind which may cause her problems in the future. Please give her our best wishes.

Remember to grieve together.:sorry::hugs:

No being strong in front of her,be honest as you can about how you feel and let her tell you how she feels.

Don't let either of you bottle it up...Face it together.:tu:

Just clicked on this thread not expecting to read this awful news. Sincere condolences to you both!!

Maggy's advice is very good - no matter how painful it is to talk about what's happened, it's vital that you both do and support eachother. It's painful but the first stage in the healing process.

Our thoughts are with you!

Thanks for the kind words folks, I've been on the phone to her and she's waiting for the doctors, she's booked to go for a scan at 11.30 this morning, she's stopped bleeding which is a good sign that her cervix has closed up. She just feels drained and hungry because she's not allowed anything just incase she's got to go to theatre.

---------- Post added at 11:37 ---------- Previous post was at 10:41 ----------

Moree bad news, she's just got back from the scan the results were there's another sack up there meaning it was twins, they have advised her to stop the 2nd sack, meaning thay have advised her to terminate.
