If I were to upgrade my connection package from 10mb to 20mb how much extra will it be a month?

I saw it's only £4 a month but I think that might be wrong so...

I was actually told, by a senior member of VM, that if you was on XL package, and on 10mb, this would be changed to 20mb WITHOUT extra charge, that is probabely, why my BB is so slow, its a pain in the backside

Wrong!
4Mb / 10Mb is size L, 20Mb is size XL!

Arthur, I'm not sure whether you are being strung along by someone pretending to be a 'senior' member of staff at VM, or are simply misunderstanding what you are being told.

What, exactly, do you think is the reason for your slow connection, as your post is confusing?

- as said, the XL package is already 20Mb, for example ....

my neighbour managed to get from 10meg to 20meg for £31 per month from haggling, but in the end he decided to get XL BB, XL TV and L Phone for £48 (£47 with ebiilling) per month.

Still debating if I need 20mb. I properly don't, but it's nice to be able to download things even quicker.

What's the average upload of a 20mb connection?

mmmm, not great but better than the 200kbps I get..

Actually, My speed seems to go down to around 3/4 mb in the evenings. I wonder if 20mb will improve/stop that?

Anything Between 10 and 15MB, around about 18MB at night and early in the mornings but this soon drops

Could I take my speed now, as a percentage of the advertised speed, and relate that to what I could expect from a 20mb connection?

I.E If I get 8-9mb on average from a 10mb connection. Could I expect 16-18mb from a 20mb connection?

I really want to ensure I know what I am going to get for the price..
