Hi guys, my virgin media net connection is at 2mb and at the moment iam getting less than dial up.

i have called vmedia up and asked them about it but no matter when i call i always get thought to india lol

some pages open up on internet explorer but then some dont

for example: if i type in www.yahoo.com the page is displayed within 2 secs but then if i type in www.microsoft.com the page may just load before the 2012 games lol
Is there a reason for this?
i got protection software on my system to stop all the known problems that the net will give us all and even if i disable them it still dont make an effect with the pages not loading :s

try first doing a tracert see if your connection is ok and to determine if any loss is happening
2nd if not got it try ccleaner www.ccleaner.com run it to help clear up the pc
3rd it might help not sure but wont hurt tcp optimizer from http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php yr see link on the page

Post what modem you have and your power levels from your config pages of your modem.

Open a browser and in the address bar put> 192.168.100.1 password and username are both root if required.

DO NOT POST YOUR MAC ADDRESS OR SERIAL NUMBER
