My connection's being a bit flakey and I was wondering if someone could tell me if these numbers from the cable modem are good or bad. Thanks :)

your downstream power level is really low it ideally needs to be +/- 3 DBmV

Ah, ok. I got the modem replaced a few months ago and fitted it myself, I'll check it to make sure I screwed it in properly.

Right, I just tightened it and it's the same. How do I get this fixed? The last time I called VM tech support about a problem (the internet thinking I was in Ireland), I got fobbed off with all sorts of nonsense suggestions.

Downstream rec power should be between -12 to +4

fone the tech support and tell them ur downstream power lever is extremely low.. and ask for a Tech to be sent

try the newsgroups might get somewhere better ? if not any joy with tech support
