Hi , I used to be on XL bb but had to reduce my costs so reduced it to M. I now get speeds of around 1.8meg which I guess is good for size M , the only thing is that my modem configuration still appears to be set for XL with the Maximum downstream data rate being still at 2048000 and upstream at 200000 . Does this mean that I haven`t been downgraded yet and my speed are being limited or does the information on the modem not change when you upgrade/downgrade between packages ?

Reboot your modem by either taking the power lead out of the back of the modem or switching off at the wall for about 30 seconds when you power the modem back up it will receive a new Docsis file.

2048000 is 2mb, 200000 is 200k upload :p:

20mb (xl) has an extra 0 on the download and 768000 on upload

I see i thought that those figures where 20meg!!!
Thanks for that info that clears things up. just one more thing though if I upgrade to size L (i think it is being upgraded from 4 to 10 meg for free?) what would the numbers be in the config menu?
