For two days in a row I've come home to a missing Sync light. The Rdy Light is on and everything is working OK. Modem levels are all OK as well.

Any ideas why. It does come back on if I reboot.

PS. Its ntl:200

Thanks

Modems faulty ring up and tell Tech Support on 0906 212 1111 and they will send out a new modem and the call will be free as the equipment is at fault.:)

If the bulb is out then you need to call Tech Services as that modem is faulty and a potential fire hazard.

The call will be free as the equipment is at fault.

I think whydoIneedatech means that when something electrical is faulty then it tends to use more voltage and therefore overheat, possibly resulting in a fire!

If I took your call and you said the bulb was gone then I would send out a replacement modem, as the is a small risk of overheating, therefore a fire risk.:)

If the modem is faulty then it must be replaced, do you have a faulty modem and what model and speed are you on?

Well my modem has been restarting itself, losing connection & I phoned up to tell them & they did a test & said there is no problem with it & it hasn't restarted, even though it has been. I also posted on the newgroup & got the same response. It's the Ambit 120, old ntl home modem. I'm on 4mb.

Tech Support should replace a modem with those faults, call 150 option 4 and complain, or 150 and the thinking of leaving us option and complain that your not happy with the service provided and explain about your modems faults.

Thanks for the number. I will phone them up within the next few days. I made a quick video to show what my modem does. The file is an avi, XviD, no audio video & is 4mins long. 7.56MB http://www.mediafire.com/?zonczdjixdm
