which doesn't show anywhere near the latency yours does - some kind of routing thing, I assume, but not sure what/why??

I get horribly show connections to any server in the US when downloading or playing games.

I posted about it here: http://www.cableforum.co.uk/board/12/33632073-slow-downloads-from-none-uk-servers.html

Sounds like you have a similar problem, I got advised to post in the Virgin newsgroups but I’ve not had chance to do that yet.

While your latency does look high, you'll still be expecting between 100 and 120 ms to any US server, typically.

Unless your like me who got well over 300ms to all US servers...with extremely weird routing going on.

I get quite a steady 80 - 90ms, which is odd (I'm on the congested Lewisham headend). How odd that you get 300ms if you're taking a similar London - Phili route?
