I just got a letter today telling me my "service" is going up by £3 and I can ofset it by -£1 by having ebilling..

So which bit is going up :)

I have a package deal, which I have now read will stay the same price, however my package deal is based on £37 XL broadband, looking at the site, it nows says thats £20 ongoing. ??

When did XL go to £20 ??

It also says 4Mb > 10Mb £16

So if I have a package deal;

£37 XL broadband
£11 M phone
£9 L TV
Total £57

And Im paying

£11 phone
£11.50 L TV
£37 XL Broadband
£59.50

- £11 Disc 12 months ???????
- £16.50 Loyalty BB/Phone/TV

Total I pay £32

I dont know how they put those prices together for my bill, but it looks cheap :) so havent said anything.

But now broadband is £20 ??

Where, on the site, does it's say that? The only page I found was at http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/specialoffers/broadband_xl.html

Which says that XL Broadband is £29 for 6 months, rising to £37 after that.

I'm lost too, on this page it says xl is £20 a month with the phone:

And if you go to the upgrade page where you can do it online it says XL is £35 a month?

If you take broadband and phone then the bundle is £31 per month. as the line rental is £11 then that makes the broadband £20 per month. But that would show on the bill as follows

£11 Line Rental
£37 BB XL
£9 Phone and BB bundle Saving (i.e the 2 for £20)
£8 extra BB saving
Total £31

If you take broadband on it's own it is £37 per month


This again proves the point. Customer Relations bundles are not always better than standard prices ;)

The small print

Broadband Size: XL and Phone Size: M bundle: Broadband Size: XL (up to 20Mb) is £10 a month and Phone Size: M is £11 a month for the first 3 months, which is £21 a month. After 3 months, the special offer bundle price applies, which is Broadband Size: XL (up to 20Mb) for £20 a month and Phone Size: M for £11 a month, which is £31 a month. Offer ends 30th June 2008.

Even with the phone, its never been listed at that price before, always £37

Yes I know, and it is flipping annoying. It doesn't show on the bill like that though
