Hi all

First post here. I've searched a lot in the forum, but am still unclear about this particualr quesiton. Is the general view to use the Virgin webcache, or not?

I've tried using both, and have not noticed any significant differences between a direct connection or one via the webcache, although the Google home page seems to load a bit quicker when using the cache than when not.

What's the general view then? Any benefits to using the webcache - if so, what might these be? Or leave the webcache and stick to a direct connection?

I suppose its personal preference... I'm only on 2mbit and I don't bother with webcache as web is quick enough for me!

Use of webcache is beneficial when you are not able to access certain websites due to some routing problems. Otherwise no point using it continuously.

Whatever works for you.

I have found that using a cache for too long results in being sent to that web page that reminds you that caches have been switched off.
