My 20meg in Wolverhampton Area = not good

having problems with my connection, just recently had it installed & only getting 50kb's max download from rapidshare with a premium account, anyone else getting weak speeds in this area.

VM said it may take time to get to full speed, but come on, 50kb's is complete garbage. :(

I believe some of the Midlands area is quite oversubscribed. Im in Dudley and it can be on and off here sometimes.

There are updates taking place at the moment on the network to increase capacity so that more people can get the speeds advertised in over subscribed areas!

It just so happens that Wolverhampton has today appeared on the status page as having planned maintenance for this month. Just keep your eyes on this page and on your connection!

I am connected to ubr05 in dudley which feeds of the wolvo lines I have slowdowns for months now spk to a few ppl in the know and for some reason or other my speeds have been brill even in peak times checked at 7.30 last night 17Mb whoo hoooo 9pm tonight 19Mb I am really happy

Never had a problem with my connection here unless I'm connecting through wireless, then I usually only max out at 11Mbps.
Plugged straight into SACM though, downloads are flying at full 19 - 20Mbps

You might find your problems go away by the end of the week in Wolves and surrounding areas.
