Hi my friend should be having broadband installed at his girlfriends place today & has been told that it will be 10mb, but being in Cardiff the upgrade on the virgin page says TBC. I was wondering if they could actually give the 10mb upgrade to him being as it's a new install or has the person he spoke to on the phone just quoted that he'd get the 10mb so he would sign up?

He'll need to wait until the upgrade goes through I think.
Prolly quoted 10meg as it's going to be done by the summer (so they say)

We were told by the end of last quarter of the year or October, probably expecting an Indian Summer.;)

Well I finally got to go around there to test the connection & it turns out it is only 4mb. He told me that when he rang up to book it to be installed that it would be 10mb when it's installed.

I'd agree with you on that. I guess he will just have to wait like the rest of Cardiff for the upgrade. When it eventually rolls out.
