I haven't been on here for awhile, so I'm a bit out of the loop and have a couple of questions to ask.

In the last few weeks I've seen my upload speed increase and now I've found out it's because VM are upgrading 4mb users to 10mb. However, it's only my upload speed that's gone up and not my download speed. The modem I've got is the NTL: home 200. Is this good enough to take a 10mb service?

My second question is I've noticed that my new upload speed seems to drop off a certain times and it seems to me as though it's being capped. I know VM were capping download speeds, are they now also capping upload speeds?

LOL

I think Mick must have forgotten the link to VM's Traffic Management (http://allyours.virginmedia.com/html/internet/traffic.html) webpage.

If you suspect that your download speed isn't correct, I'd recommend you read "How can I test that I am downloading at my correct speed? (http://a.myby.co.uk/broadband-faq.html#q02)" from Annie's Broadband FAQ.

Welcome back!
