Hi
I've sent off for one of these SIMs.
But my phone's locked to the Orange network.
So if I can find somebody to unlock it for a fiver then I'll break even.
Virgin and Orange tariffs seem to be the same, 15 pence per minute.

What phone is it? Lots can be unlocked for free, depending on make/model.

It's a Motorola F3.
I don't think that it's possible to unlock this type for free.
I've seen some people advertising codes on eBay, but I don't know if they're kosher.
There's some videos on YouTube too.

What a strange phone! It costs less than a fiver to buy on Virgin PAYG if you top up a tenner at http://www.phones4u.co.uk/shop/shop_payg_details.asp?ItemKey=164685&MPItemKey=162159

Yup
I paid £9.99 + £10 top up at Orange shop.
The phones are almost disposable, like Bic cigarette lighters.

So it's not worth paying very much to have it unlocked.
This is how the professionals do it though:-

But they are simple to use and they have big numbers so they're ok for older people (like me!:)).
And they are rugged, so they're ok to use at work etc.

Those unlock clips in the video cost about £25.
