Getting the cable to your house?

ok hi all first post here need some knowledge. getting cable broadband installed next week and just wounderd what was involved in getting the cable from the street to your house how does it work? my dad has told me it happening if they have to dig anything up which sucks but is fair enough as we just had a brand new drive put in over the garden.

What kind of drive?

We have a block paved one & the installers lifted the blocks at the edge & laid the cable under that.

- however if it is concrete or tarmac, then they will probable need to dig, in order to bury the cable.

- the alternative is a length of green conduit clipped along the bottom of your fence/wall & I'm not sure if they are allowed to do it like that?

its a tarmac and there are no fances around it either danm looks like it aint getting down thanks for the info
