Modem signal levels

Hi, i checked my modem for signal levels today and found that the Downstream power level is @ -11.8dB!
Is this is ok?, also can somebosy verify what the signals should be on my stb, want to check them too as the picture keeps freezing?

Yeah i read that, but should those levels be the same as on the stb?

levels at set top should be -8 at back of box on high digi frequency
if your levels at modem are -11 then you can bet your digi levels are not to spec thats why you are suffering from pic freeze.
