will I need a new router

Thinking I may try 20mb but not sure if my modem will hack it?

It's an ntl ambit 100 i think? (silver colour) well it says ntlhome 100 on the back label?

If I do need a new one will virgin just send a newer one out free or will I have to pay. Whats the procedure. Also if i did upgrade from 4mb to 20mb(online) how long would it take?

I'm currently on 4mb, ordered 20mb on the 3rd September, install is due on the 11th September. Hopefully it will happen !

sorry to be pedantic, but these units are called cable modems, not routers - just so you don't confuse customer services if you contact them :)
