What modem will i get ?

upgrading from set top box to a modem.what make and model modem will i be getting ?

ps when it's fitted how will i be able to tell if the modem is working ok ? (which lights will be on,before i connect to my pc)

professional, no virgin cable are fitting it lol (just joking installers)

if its profesional they should make sure its working 100% before they leave so if is done by virgin there should be no problems............................fingers crossed

i have a set top box which is providing me with 1mb,so upgrading to a modem and 20mb

You'll probably get the Ambit 255HQ (VM branded).

You can tell when it's installed properly because you'll be able to connect to the internet ;)

power light, ready light and sync light should all be stable, u/s, d/s and enet light should flash as you are transferring data.
