im considering switching from vm cable as my bb/phone supplier
i am in northampton (NN4) area.
my phone usage is low (ave £2.50 per month)
on a daily basis i use bb for surfing/gaming/streaming radio/youtube
i havent used p2p but in the future i would like to download music.
in the last year i have averaged 2.6mb on the 4mb service(approx 65%) and for the last 1.5 months 1.6mb on the 10mb service.
i have been keeping a log from this site that i was told to use last time i rang vm 07/07/2007

http://www.speedtest.bbmax.co.uk/results.php?t=1187430074&v=2081569

maybe it will get better, maybe my area is oversubcribed but its getting to the point where id rather give my money to someone else for a poor service.

according to samknows im approx 850 meters in a straight line from my exchange (EMHARDI) and there are 2 LLU providers (Be and bulldog).
indications are i could expect 6mbps on an up to 8mbps service.

any feedback from bb/phone package customers with any provider except virgin in my area would be appreciated.

i realise as a paying customer i have been unreasonable in expecting :
more than 65% of what i pay for
to understand what a company rep is saying
to be able to use my broadband on a daily basis
not to pay a premium price for a substandard service

thanks in advance
