Hi Guys,
Since I moved to my new place I have had the occasional problem with the Modem dropping the connection and me getting the old 192.168.100.10 IP. I phoned up VM once and they blamed something installed on my computer for an hour before saying they would send an engineer round who did not turn up. Now the calls are not local rate so I'm not phoning up to speak for an hour to get no where.
Today it's happened several times and it's annoying :) I had a look at the power levels on the CF stickie and it recommends between 28 and 53 dBmV. Going to my modem I see I am on 24dBmV when internet is working and when it DC's it normally shows 22.5ish dBmV. So is this then my problem? :P
If it is the power levels then what can be done by an engineer ? attenuators ?
Any help appreciated before I call them up
