Problem loading images on any website

Gar, I remember having this problem years back when I was on 512k NTL

I noticed since logging on today, that images have a hard time loading on any website I visit.
I tried using two other computers on the same network and they to, have the same problem
Sometimes none will load, sometimes it's half, other times all of them load ok.
I tried changing my Firefox settings to go through a proxy, but that doesn't seem to work either.
Any suggestions? (I tried rebooting the cable modem and router to)

Not using firefox by any chance are you.

Had that myself a the other day on a couple of sites actually, mind you I do use http pipelining set by the fasterfox extension. so it might have been a case of trying to open up to many connections and the site turning around and denying some.

I'm not on VM im on BT.
