Flaky internet in Southampton again?

Anyone in Southampton (I'm in SO16) experiencing flaky internet today or is it just me?

Was on a VoIP call to my parents earlier and the upstream kept dropping out, surfing websites seems intermittent. Works for a bit, then drops out with connection timed out, dns errors, AIM/MSN keep disconnecting.

My downstream receive power level does appear to have dropped to -7.3 dBmV from it's usual -3.7 ish which worries me slightly.

And yes, I know I should be out enjoying the summer sunshine, but there's too much traffic about! ;)

Edit: Seems like it's settled down again.. receive level is up to -6.0 dBmV and not getting any errors.. Guess it was a temporary blip..

Cool, thanks for that.. Must just have been a temp blip.. The modem seemed ok throughout, lights were all normal.. Just seemed coincidental that the power level had dropped and I was getting problems..

It's been fine since, managed to download Visual Studio 2008 Beta 2 almost at full 20Mb/s from MSDN which was a bonus! :)
