Hi All

Just moved into our new house which used to have NTL.
In the lounge there is a phone socket which has my active BT line on it.

This used to be an NTL line and still has the NTL wall plate.
From this wall plate 2 coax cables run upstairs to bedroom and terminate in a wall plate with 2 F connectors - the screw on type connectors.

My question - how can I turn these into a phone line in my bedroom?

Maybe there is some kind of adapter from f connector to standard phone socket.
It must be possible as the cabling runs from an active phone socket.

Cheers Dudes!

there isn't...the f-connectors are used for co-ax cable which is completely different from phone cable.

phone cable is twisted pair and has 8 wires (4 twisted pairs), wheras co-ax only has an earth braid and one signal wire...

Thanks for the speedy reply.
So is that coax upstairs just a TV out point then?

Just wondering why it eminates from the phone socket

more than likely...don't know why it should be coming from a phone socket...perhaps a photo may shed more light?
