No Internet?

I Live 5 miles outside coventry and my internet service has been poor for about a week now
I am not techically minded so will describe problem as best as i can
I have a ntl silver 200 modem and for the last week or so the two lights at the right side of the modem which are possibly the sync and rdy light but am not sure keep going out and back on again which i think is a connection problem but cannot be sure
Was just enquiring to see if anyone is having similar porblems as me
and if not what could my problem be
i am writing this from a library as even if the internet works i cannot access these forums anyway

Well if you don't call them how are they going to fix it?
You need to check the modem and see what lights are locked, which are flashing and what is not actually lit at all.
Other than that how are the people here supposed to help?

Gordon, I shared your thoughts, but I had a problem that wouldn't go away and had to bite the bullet and call. Yes it was rather tedious, but I did get my problem fixed albeit with an Engineer call out.

As stated, if you don't ask for help you won't get it sorted I'm afraid.
