1st 512K took 1984 ms = 258.1 KB/sec, approx 2127 Kbps, 2.08 Mbps
2nd 512K took 1985 ms = 257.9 KB/sec, approx 2125 Kbps, 2.08 Mbps
3rd 512K took 2000 ms = 256 KB/sec, approx 2109 Kbps, 2.06 Mbps
4th 512K took 1968 ms = 260.2 KB/sec, approx 2144 Kbps, 2.09 Mbps

Overall Average Speed = approx 2126 Kbps, 2.08 Mbps

Have you been downloading large files recently?

It could be that your traffics being shaped, it normally goes back after 2 hours

My download is still very poor using your favoured speed test.

Download Speed: 2583 kbps (322.9 KB/sec transfer rate)
Upload Speed: 488 kbps (61 KB/sec transfer rate)

hmm tryed a download manager ? from a server such as microsofts ? maybe just the thread is going slow (dl managers use several) give it a try see what u get

I suppose you didn't know that the UK server on speedtest.net is actually the same one which hosts the Namesco speedtest? So therefore, they would be the same.
