whats the point!, they will cut you back to 2mb anyway.....
it would be nice if they gave us 10mb, then "cap" us back to 5mb download....
sweet in the evening......:tu:
we can but live in hope...

There's a speed upgrade coming, regardless. Therefore a person's 2mb will become larger.

...The capping of areas is entirely area dependent, as well. But quite possiblly and hopefully it won't last forever.

My area has never, ever been capped or traffic shaped, it only happens in areas that are in heavy use.

Perhaps when they upgrade ever UBR then this may just go away..

with 4mb going to 10?

Have I missed something? 4mb -> 10mb?

Genuine question, had PC problems and the broadband been down at work, so I may have missed something.

Yes - I saw the original post and thought that someone had seen somewhere that there was a definite upgrade. I guess it's just wishful thinking.

I'm considering dropping from 4 to 2, there's not that much difference anyway (for me at least).

Its indriectly wishful thinking, granted. But is due to the fact that there's going to be an upgrade, anyway. We just don't know exactly...

PS. I wouldn't bother downgrading. For modern-day browsing anything less than 4mb is quite noticable. (I assume you don't download because then you would most certainly want more speed rather than less. ;))
