Hey guys, this has been going on for a loooooong time, but decided to post it today!

www.londonstockexchange.com (http://www.londonstockexchange.com) <<< a website which I have to check regularly for my dad, takes agesssssss to load! I dont know why! So today I decided to ping, and tracert to it, and here are my results!

I see the packets arent being received in the ping, but the thing is that the website does actually load, although very slowly! So can u chk if it takes a looong time to open the site [ntl connections], and how are ur pings/tracert's to the site?

Is there a problem my end? I hope so, as then it can be rectified quicker than if its a ntl/VM problem!

that is weird... I go to it now, and its much faster than before! However, its still much slower compared to what BROADBAND speeds [instant] should be!

I also can't ping the site, and my tracerts are about the same as yours

ping is irrelevantat times to check if a site is up or down, most servers ignore icmp ping packets

[its been worse!]Have you defragged your hard disk? That can effect performance.

londonstockexchange.com is one of those sites thats either busy or not, and its luck if you get at the right time.

Imagine all those thousands of stock brokers wanting to know current share prices etc :P

Just tried it from work (2Mb ADSL) and it took 74 seconds to load!

kool! so its not just me...its LSE's rubbish servers!

i have defragged hard disk many times, so its not that!
