sync light flashes

when i take my modem of PC to connect to xbox lately as soon as i connect it to xbox it takes up to an hour for sync light and modem to setup. then if i can;t be bothered to wait and re attach it to PC it has to take time to setup their too, and i keep gettin disconnected of internet too.

I am assuming you have a SACM as you refer to it as "modem"...

You're powering the modem off/on in this time?

Check the cables are plugged in securely at the back of the modem. If you dont have cable TV, check the other end of the cable is plugged in securely to the white box on the interior wall of where the cable comes through.

has this been like that since install or just latley it sounds like levels issue if not a faulty lead

I have found today that I lost the internet and the sync light was flashing. This has continued to flash.

I will monitor it over night and call tomorow if its still flashing.

This seemed to settle down and seems steady again might have been the thunderstorm.

I'm having similar problems as many have mentioned but I think my problems are definitely down to the heat.

I have a new Silver Samsung STB which was very warm each time that my internet would crash. I have now got a 120mm pc fan blowing on it so its nice and cold again and the internet has settled down.

So if anyone else has got a STB try cooling it down with a fan first - it will only be a few days and the lovely UK weather will be back to normal :D
