Just had another look at them, if you look close you can see the blocks lines running through the scetches still on the first 2 but not the third, but ............ in the boat pic the flag sticks up above the rest of the picture, is it just the cynic in me or what

I would expect the flag to stick up outside the pond. Seem genuine to me and very good.

Fair do's, no blocks but at least 1 definite line through the walkway / road, and not visible on the ' scetch '

I agree the flag looks a little odd, but perhaps that's only because you don't expect it to be drawn on the pavement and be outside the main drawing?

No, it's just very careful drawing.

Have you ever watched eg a televised rugby match where there seems to be a signboard standing up just behind the posts?

All that happens is that you "project" the image of what the sign would look like onto the ground, then paint it there. As long as you're looking at it from the correct angle (ie where the TV camera is) it appears "real", but if you looked at it from another angle (or someone walks across it) you can seen that it's actually stretched and distorted.

In the boat picture the image can only work from where the photo was taken.

Mmm, I see what your saying, wonder what the drawings would look like from the other side ??

I don't know about these but I did see a rather impressive painting of a swimming pool on the pavement near Leicester Square once, and that was certainly painted on (and made me dizzy for some reason).
